Vaccum line on compressor.

Anyone have tips on getting the vaccum line connected/secured to the compressor housing? Struggled with it for a while today before moving onto other projects. Tried to fish it in while it was zip tied to a cut up wire hanger but had no luck.

 

Really wishing I had connected it when the turbo was resting on the up-pipe studs.

 

Any tips or tricks would be greatly appreciated.

Did you remove the tmic ? that may give you more room.

 

I recall my Tuner replacing the boost pile in a parking lot without much trouble many years ago. He did not pull the tmic.

 

Have you tried various needle nose pliers. I have a few with longer angled ends.

Yea tmic is off. Tried a few different needle nose but nothing fits in there with enough room to maneuver. I'm thinking about trying some long curved hemostats, it might do the trick.

if you're having trouble, you haven't tried the right tool yet ;D

 

i'll presume this is the plastic intake manifold? definitely a bitch to get it routed around the turbo inlet but definitely doable with the right pliers and amount of patience.
