xenos
Car is SOLD Year, Make and Model: 2005 Legacy GT Limited Wagon – 5 MT Color: Garnet Red, Beige Interior Miles: 112,300 Transmission: 5 Speed Manual Title: Clear Lien: None Location: (Glen Arm, MD) (Local delivery only) VIN: (4S3BP676856317143) Seller's email address: (billc3@comcast.net) Asking Price: $7,500 Background Information I am the original owner of this car. It was my daily driver from new through 2012. It has always been garaged. I have always used synthetic oil, usually Mobil 1, since new. The car has been well maintained. I have maintenance receipts going back to day 1. Options that came from the factory include winter mats, rear cargo tray, roof cross bars, auto dimming mirror and security system. I have the factory literature and original paperwork from when I purchased the car but not the window sticker. Overall this car presents excellently – very sharp and unusually clean. I have been a particularly fussy owner. I am selling this car because I have several other cars and find myself driving the car about once a month simply to keep fresh gas in it, rotate the tires, and keep everything lubricated. I have averaged less than a thousand miles per year these last few years. This is too good a car to sit. It needs to be owned and enjoyed by an enthusiast. Maintenance Milestones • Timing belt changed at 100K miles • Transmission rebuilt by a local Subaru specialist shop, Agile Automotive, at 88,000 miles, new, single plate WRX clutch installed at the same time. Pros: The car is in unusually good condition given its age. • The exterior paint is in excellent condition due to my waxing it at least annually. I had it professionally detailed in the last year as well. A lifetime being garaged has helped. • Everything on the car works/functions excellently. The engine is strong and consumes no oil. • Interior leather is in excellent condition, in many ways it looks like new with no cuts, tears or staining in the leather. Carpets are in very good condition. Cons: • The car suffers from the sticky dash problem. I did not realize this until after the factory recall period ended as my car was always garaged. • The car has minor scratches and imperfections on the exterior, mostly on the urethane bumper covers. I have included some photo of the imperfections. Wheels have some curb marks. • Driver’s door had a rusty weep hole at the inside bottom of the door where the outer door skin and the inside panel meet. I suspect this is a consequence of the frameless window design. I rust reformed it, sealed and painted it 5 years back and have had no issues since. It is not visible from the outside of the car. There is no rust, bubbling, etc. on the body at all. Edited November 23, 2021 by xenos Car is Sold
