JoeInOregon
Doing some prep work on the fuel system Finalizing the the design, and laying out fittings to begin making the lines. Radium Engineering fuel pressure regulator and inline fuel damper. Both these can be found in their universal section. I have to tell you the quality, feel, and weight of these is like nothing I have handled before on fueling parts , these feel like billet air craft parts. JoeInOregon
Now your doing it right, I have radium everything front to back. Have custom fuel lines also. Nice job.Lol ya fueling is literally costing me more than the turbo , down and up pipes , intake, turbo inlet and the access port combined. Kinda wishing I got the radium rails and could use the rail mounted damper but I got a deal on the ID adapter rails and 1050's I'm honestly tempted to just order the radium rails there stuff is incredible, but would need new dampers at this point Sent from my Pixel 3a using Tapatalk
JoeInOregon
AEM 340 Fuel pump went in today. Got a few questions and a few tips. TIPS: 1.Approach the Clips that hold the pump into the housings from the top. Use anything small , little screwdrivers extera, a little gravity and downward pressure wile opening up the clips and mine fell right out. It was miserable trying to do it from the side. 2. Put the car in test mode , remove the middle fuel line , hook a legnth of tubing and run it to can and pump it near empty by turning the car on, the pump will cycle on and off in test mode. Questions. 1.Should I be worried how yellow this pump housing is ? 2.The o ring below in the picture with the arrows was kind of hard and a bit warped wen I removed it. Kind perplexed here possibly the pump was replace before. What is this part of the pump assembly for and should I be worried. I lubed and reinstalled the original o ring but I'm kinda concerned. Thanks Edit: forgot to specify what I ring and fitting in the pump , it's one on the left Sent from my Pixel 3a using Tapatalk Edited January 13, 2022 by JoeInOregon
VespaGTS
Hi Joe, let’s try to coordinate some time when you’re working on your car. I say this because I have a 340 pump to put in my car and I would’ve liked to be there for the process. I know you are planning on doing JDM headlights. If you would like to see what JDM HID headlights look like installed with Shields flipped I could bring my legacy by for you to check out. Have a great day! JoeInOregon
A little progress today, the intake is out can finish fabrication on fuel lines and install new TGV's injectors rails fpr and flex fuel kit now. From there plan to do the turbo, up and down pipe , then finish with installing turbo inlet and manifold. Any advice on how to go about assembly order is appreciated now that it is apart Sent from my Pixel 3a using Tapatalk
JoeInOregon
Well , tgvs, injectors, regulator , and damper are in. I went threw many design ideas before I settled on one. Return I'm sure on now .... Advise welcome on supply. Current plan is to come off the front of both rails with a 90, and run to a ywe , right behind the driver side tvg , running under the intake manifold and hairline cross overs Sent from my Pixel 3a using Tapatalk
JoeInOregon
PS don't hate on the brackets , I will make a proper one once lines are fabbed Sent from my Pixel 3a using Tapatalk
JoeInOregon
Pressure Gauge will be coming off the passenger side of the damper , electronic pressure gauge inline past damper and wired to tgv, Flex fuel sensor ultimately went in the return line, for a bunch of reasons, but it is sitting at the lowest level will always have fuel and I don't plan to run a mix of fuels, so fast response is not even needed just enough to know percentage of tank should be fine, specially if you don't top off and run it near empty before fill ups Sent from my Pixel 3a using Tapatalk
