Mr. Electric Wizard
Is this how you connect a 3” Cobb DP to a 3” Namless CBE? I would have thought that the foil gasket would fit in there better. Am I missing anything? Thanks!
Mr. Electric Wizard
There's another paper gasket that is 3" ID, so it seems this piece is a second gasket for this junction. Just imagine that gasket is in the photo.
busyychild
I’m wondering the same thing on how the new full 3” Cobb GESi downpipes fit on aftermarket 3” catback exhausts. As you said, I imagine it should go: DP > flat DP gasket > 3” donut gasket > midpipe Which should work since the flared flange will center and retain the 3” donut gasket. I would just make sure not to torque the bolts too tight where it deforms the donut gasket. The instructions on the Nameless website only account for a stock downpipe: https://shop.namelessperformance.com/content/install-guide-ab-mp-cb.pdf The instructions on the Cobb website assume a flat flange on the aftermarket catback: https://cobbtuning.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/PRS/pages/1370783745/524210+-+Subaru+GESi+Downpipe Please post photos with what you end up doing if you don’t get any other responses before then. rhino6303
You just use the nameless donut gasket. It sucks down and doesn't leak. Don't overtighten it.
