Scooby-Roo
Gonna be replacing my blown turbo with a VF52. Nearest tuner is a bit of a drive, wondering what map to run on the way there. awfulwaffle
Doesn't matter as long as injector and MAF scaling are right and you stay out of boost, and the map is for an engine with the same compression ratio
BoozeRS05
Yeah I'd assume stg2 map and stay out of boost is fine. Maybe run the 91oct map and fuel with 93oct if available too, perhaps extra margin of error EB's Subaru journal - 2005 LegacyGT Wagon & 2014 Forester FB25 (2008 specB - RIP) IG@legacygtliving
Marvick08GT
Most shops that will tune your car will send you a Limp map to bring it in
Scooby-Roo
Nevermind, shop refusing the tune because of catless. I'll just run it on Stg 2. yolo
Max Capacity
You may want to reach out to Mike at, tuningalliance@gmail.com Sounds like my MAP Mike made for me years ago will be a good starting point for you too. vf52 on stock fueling, Invidia Dp catless Up, GS tmic. That will be safer then cobb stage 2. Only difference is your Intake. Tell Mike I sent you. He'll know what to do. Pleides
Don’t yolo a tune that’s not for your car. Lots of tuners will do e-tunes like TuningAlliance. Alternatively, you could sell your catless downpipe and put a catted one on there. Helps with boost creep a bit and you don’t have that terrible catless smell. subisubisu
If you're going to sell a catless DP and replace with catted, you might want to try that soon. I'm in the market for a tune soon, and I think the times are a-changing for the folks that sell tuning services in terms of abetting or even tolerating emissions systems modifications. Witness Cobb and others removing some of their product lines. And cat prices (due to the metals prices) are up for now, who knows where they are headed. BoozeRS05
I sold a CNT catted downpipe nice and cheap 6-7 months ago. It's not nearly as valuable as OEM, but still it's worth an additional $150 today bc it's true some shops aren't tuning catless exhausts anymore.
