Front Bumper: Unclipped

Recommended Posts

My front driver's side bumper by the wheel well keeps coming unclipped. I am able to move the wheel liner and then it clips back in, but a few days later it falls out again.

I reviewed the front bumper removal guide, but I am still a little confused. Am I missing a clip or has the bumper's built in tab failed?

Thanks

There should be a bolt holding the bumper to the fender. At least, I have that on my obxt front bumper. As a matter of fact, I just had to tighten mine.

Edit: I have a JDM front bumper though. Can't remember if the USDM bumper has one.

Not a bolt but a pup-rivet/ Christmas tree type item.

OP in your second linked picture there is a hole near the end of the bumper, it goes in there to the above fender.

kind of like

Or this one: https://www.amazon.com/Rexka-Push-Type-Retainer-Infiniti-01553-05933/dp/B07BHD7F5J

Check the other side of your car and you will see it.

Thanks. I assume to install I pull the wheel liner, install clip, and re-install wheel liner?

You dont need to remove just pull it back, I used a screw driver to slip under then "break the bead" of the liner to get it back some. Also wear gloves as it will cut the crap out of your hands. The style is the amazon style but I dont know the size. As someone mentioned a ziptie will work; really depends on your OCD level.
