I need your help here - I have a 2012 Legacy and have been having this problem when I come to a quick stop the car will shudder and try to shut off. Has anyone else had this issue?? It doesn’t always happen and usually after driving it for 15-20 min it won’t do it anymore. Wondering if I’m the only one that’s experienced this? What could it be? What should I do? dgoodhue Posted January 28, 2021 Share Posted January 28, 2021 If you can repeat the shudder, look at the tach the next time. If it drops by about 50rpm its normal. My 2012 2.5i 6MT did it from day 1 (it came and went depending on the time of the year and weather) and their was even TSB about it. I’m at like 175k miles but this has been happening for a long time. It comes and goes so I’ve been dealing with it more or less but I think it’s time haha. Tbh I’ve been dealing with it for like two years at least and it’s still fine so....more of an annoyance and I’m afraid of what could happen. I’ll try and see what tach does next time. Doesn't hurt to check and see if that's been done brian Also, did you clean upinside the maf sensor 5thGen? I’m going to get some MAF cleaner and sucks it’s so cold here right now but I think I can do it. I’ll be sure to let you know - I’ve heard of people writing to Subaru and them helping with payment a little bit on the bulletins of out of warranty.
