  1. I watched a video and it looks like even a rookie like me can do it! I’m going to get some MAF cleaner and sucks it’s so cold here right now but I think I can do it. I’ll be sure to let you know - I’ve heard of people writing to Subaru and them helping with payment a little bit on the bulletins of out of warranty. My family has driven them forever so worth a shot if it comes to that fingers crossed on my MAF
  2. Thanks for the reply! The first thing I’m actually going to try is cleaning the MAF sensor - hoping that’s it. I know I’ve never done it so.....
  3. Tbh I’ve been dealing with it for like two years at least and it’s still fine so....more of an annoyance and I’m afraid of what could happen. I’ll try and see what tach does next time. I’m usually focused on letting off the brake because that will usually push through the shudder and not cause it to stall
  4. Thanks yeah I just came across that bulletin as well and am wondering if this is in my future as well! I’m at like 175k miles but this has been happening for a long time. It comes and goes so I’ve been dealing with it more or less but I think it’s time haha. I heard they extended a warranty but I never got notice of that - so maybe I’ll write to them and hope to get some covered.
  5. Hey guys! I need your help here - I have a 2012 Legacy and have been having this problem when I come to a quick stop the car will shudder and try to shut off. Has anyone else had this issue?? It doesn’t always happen and usually after driving it for 15-20 min it won’t do it anymore. Wondering if I’m the only one that’s experienced this? What could it be? What should I do? Bring to dealer to diagnose? Thanks!
