06SubLegTx
Hello, I have 2006 Subaru Legacy 2.5i with a broken Strut Mount Broken Stud. Can you still drive this without major worry? I do have new one on order. If these don't look exactly like yours it is because the car has Spec-B Bilstein Shocks on it. See image Thanks for any help
blackobxt
The professional in me would tell you that it’s not safe, and movement could cause deformation in the metal blah blah blah. The cheap ass me who has driven several vehicles with that exact same scenario for long periods says that you will be ok for now, just fix it when your new one shows up. Also that IS fixable
chato
depending on what mounts you have, sometimes the bolts are pressed in and you can knock it out and replace with a normal nut/bolt combo
xt2005bonbon
yeah. You should be able to knock the broken one out. I've done this before.
Neukam
When I bought my LGT, someone had broken one of the mounting studs off and had attempted to glue it back on with RTV. Needless to say, the RTV didn't hold for long. I drove it that way for about 2 years before I got around to replacing the strut mounts and installing Koni yellows. If the other 2 are intact, you can change it at your leisure and not worry about it unless you're planning to run a rally race.
