Legacy 2.5 1998 - Transmission Control Module

Hi, guys! Got excessive time lag when select lever is moved from N to D or from N to R. Service manual tells that it may be Control Module. But the Transmission Control Module isn't present where service manuals tells it whould has to be. So, it looks like the Engine Control Unit is also responsable for transmission, is it correct? So, does anyone have service manual for this model?

I'm pretty sure the ECU controls the trans. Also is there a lag when it shifts while driving it? Cause if so, you can try doing a few fluid exchanges but chances are it's just a tired trans.

Do not presents time lag when it shifts, but some times it shifts weird, like if it's reducing a gear... also flushed fluid two times, but did not work.

That's the same service manual as mine, and also refers to a tcm.

My 96 and my 99 TCU were both located on top of the trans tunnel under the radio/HVAC .
