fehler1977
So, I changed my battery out on my legacy the other day and I noticed that there was a filter, of an inline filter style, located behind the battery Trey area in my car. Does anybody know what this filter is for and how, wind is supposed to be replaced. Please excuse my ignorance as I am new to the legacies, but I've never seen one located on against a fender wall like that. Thank you

dwmccauley01
+1 for the transmission filter Should not need to be replaced but I believe a wix oil filter crosses over to that one. Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk

m sprank
Automatic transmission fluid filter. We replaced them every 30k miles at my shop. It is a spin on filter, like an oil filter.
fehler1977
Ahhhhh.. yes you guys are correct. I will leave it be since my legacy has 168k and the tranny is solid. I bought it with 100k and no problems. Still shifts very tight. Thanks for the feedback guys!
