cmac1130
looking on doing stoptech with ss brake lines and new calipers, anyone have ideas on whats works better with legacys or whos had experience with stoptech or other brands?
shralp
The Stoptech ST40 is fine and more than enough for a street car. Swapping in the Brembo kit from the STI would be fine too and potentially less expensive depending on price for a used one. The stock GT brakes are actually quite good with the addition of SS lines, decent performance pads and a good set of rotors. Way less money too, I’d try that first unless you have to have the bling factor as well
whitexc
Add the GS MCB and petal feel changes substantially for the better. Sent from my moto z3 using Tapatalk

Max Capacity
I'm pretty happy with Brembo Pads I got from Tirerack.com, have calipers from NAPA, actually the second free replacement on the right front. The pads have a pretty good cold bite to them. Pedal is firm. 305,600miles 5/2012 ej257 short block, 8/2011 installed VF52 turbo, @20.8psi, 280whp, 300ftlbs. (SOLD). Max Capacity
No matter what you do, winter road treatments will effect the paint/coating. Get over it. Sorry. 305,600miles 5/2012 ej257 short block, 8/2011 installed VF52 turbo, @20.8psi, 280whp, 300ftlbs. (SOLD). CHECK your oil, these cars use it.
