Claytonmoore53 Posted May 16, 2019 Share Posted May 16, 2019 Not sure if anybody has encountered this but somehow the info/setting broke! It's like the plastic degraded with the heat or something. I noticed I couldn't get into my settings and then I slightly wiggled it around it just dropped down. Any idea if I can fix this or am I going to need to see the dealer and shell out some ridiculous amount for a plastic button? Painless Posted May 16, 2019 Share Posted May 16, 2019 It looks like is can be replaced fairly easily as long as you are handy working on cars and are aware of airbag removal precautions and procedures. I believe a new 83158AL00A switch assembly is whats needed and looks to be $37.68 here: https://parts.subaru.com/p/Subaru_2015_Legacy-25L-CVT-4WD-Limited/SWITCH-ASSEMBLY-STEERING/60018304/83158AL00A.html I extracted the relevant pages from the manual.
