RottenJeeves
Hey guys/gals. Trying to figure out where to start with an issue I am having. 2005 Legacy GT - Manual Trans. 144k No check engine lights. Issue started a couple weeks ago... Getting a surging or bogging issue under acceleration. Mostly seems to be lower RPM range. Some days its better than others. Did he easy stuff. Clean MAF and replace the air filter. Didn't seem to help. I am looking for recommendations on where to start or what to check. Thanks.
FJuan
Very common issue, it's either fuel pressure regulator or tuning. There's several threads on this topic, here's the better one. https://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php/famous-stumble-fixedi-232816.html?highlight=stumble My wife's balls are delicious. RottenJeeves
Thanks. I will take a look. There is a lot of reading there. Not sure how I would take care of a tuning issue. Does that mean buying an AP?
ttnio
i am guessing a PO171(DTC). likely, a minute vaccum leak in your air intake. wait for the cel light to appear though, before starting to work on it. one more thing, stay away WOT and boost. you could be running lean... drive normal. Wait for the cel light to appear? The car is almost undrivable. There is a hill on the way to the work it bucks violently all the way up the hill. You guys probably know better but my gut tells me not to drive it till its fixed. I will probably start pulling things off this weekend.
Berge56
I had some low rpm hesitation that was related to my OCV valves. You can start by cleaning them, but I ended up replacing them and now the car drives 100% better.
