subiesin1
so about two months ago i was drifting a roundabout, and lightly smacked the rear end of the car against a low 1-2 inch curb. it fucked up the wheel so i had that replaced but the noise still persists. i also had struts and springs done recently. the noise from what sounds like the rear end and happens only over 50 mph it sounds like wind wooshing over something or like a wub wub wub noise. any help appreciated
mechanic58
You have probably bent the axle flange which is cause the rotor to wobble and make the noise you're hearing. Edit: put the car up on jack stands and run it in gear and observe the wheel - see if it's wobbling.
I Donated Too sigmafour Posted April 9, 2019 I Donated Too Share Posted April 9, 2019 I think it's more likely you damaged the wheel bearing... replace that.
MaasaiWarrior
wheel bearing, rear axle, hub could be out of line... did you put on a new tire? it could have a major belt shift 08 Spec B, insta: @08_spec_b, 10 SH Forester insta: @shfozzy
Berge56
my vote is wheel bearing. Cheaper to replace than an axle. Grab a timkin wheel bearing from rock auto.
