Seat memory position can not be set

Does anyone know how to reinitialize the memory seat positions?

 

I currently cannot set the memory seat position for 1 or 2. If I move the seat and try to set the memory position, it just goes back to the previous memory position for either 1 or 2.

 

I hold down set, then while holding set down, I hit position 1 or 2. When I do this, it just goes to the pervious memory position.

Are you just pressing and releasing the 1 or 2 button, or are you holding it down? You have to hold the button down, you can't just press it.

While holding the set button I hold either 1 or 2. When I do that, it goes back to the previous memory position, like I didn't hit the set button.

That should work if you have the parking brake applied & the gear selector in park.

 

From the Owner’s Handbook:

 

Registration of seat position with button “1” or “2”

 

1. Adjust the seat position under the following conditions.

* The parking brake is applied.

* The select lever is in the “P” position.

 

2. While pressing the “SET” button, press and hold the desired button “1” or “2”.

 

A chirp sounds once, and the seat position is registered.

^ what he said. I bet ya the e-brake wasn't applied.

 

If you did all the above and it still doesn't work, it may be a faulty set button. If you are in warranty, take it to the dealer.

I've set my seat positions but don't recall ever setting the parking brake first.

No parking brake required, but need to press and hold until you hear the chirp.
