The car has less than 80k. Nice the dealer was honest and checked it out and did it under warranty. I presume they did it under TSB 16-107-17. Looking at the TSB, "CVT Warranty Extension is ten (10) years from the warranty start date or 100,000 miles, whichever occurs first". So, I purchased the car at the end of 2014. If the car had this issue next year, I presume it wouldn't have been fixed under warranty. Whew!

I just dropped my 2015 Subaru Legacy off at the dealer today. They did some tests and since the "At Oil Temp" light blinks. They tested more and found out it was the CVT Valve Body that needs to be replaced. He said when the light goes off, other lights on the dash will also go off weirdly like mine did. So it is covered under the CVT extended warranty. They have to keep it a few days since they have to get their trans guy to fix it. Looking on website, it looks like the part alone is ~$1100.... I presume they will have to change the CVT fluid, so that will save me some money even though i did it in 2022 LOL...

Greetings all, I replaced my battery in the car (2015 Subaru Legacy Limited 4cyl) since the battery died (couldn't start car etc). Tested battery, and said it should be replaced (used my own tester). After replacing the battery, I had to do the normal reset of Auto Windows up/down. Everything seems to be fine. Issue is intermittently when driving, Eyesite system lights go on (eye site systems don't work) and the "At Oil Temp" light blinks. Of course after I get home, I turn off the car and restart the car after a bit, and everything is normal. Any Suggestions? I am probably going to take it to the dealer to have everything checked out, but if you have any suggestions, please let me know to save some $$$ Thank You All....

any release notes of the new OTA?

So when does everyone change their differential & CVT Fluid. My 2015 Legacy is currently at 68k? I changed my Front/read differential @ 41k and haven't done the CVT yet. The Maintenance schedule says differential "I"nspection @ 60k and CVT "I"nspect at 30k. I don't know why i did the Differential at 41k, but that is what the dealer said, and I went for it for some reason. When has everyone done theirs at all? Thanks.

Getting Subaru Parts experience
Whitesnake replied to Whitesnake's topic in Sixth Generation Legacy (2015 -2019 )
That's where i got the subaru price from (local dealer) -
Greetings all, I also own a Legacy, but this question is basic as far as getting parts for a Subaru Ascent. Has anyone used http://www.subaruparts.com or http://www.subarudirectwholesale.com for Parts? I need to replace my wife's passenger side mirror, and need to order the following parts. Of course Subaru direct is more expensive, but the other two have different pricing. Does anyone have any experience? Thanks Subaru | SubaruParts | SubaruDirectWholesale R View Mirror Unit $204.95 | $162.32 | $137.73 Product ID: 91036XC11C Lower Cover $33.25 | $26.33 | $25.74 Product ID: 91054FL21A Cover Cap Out Mirrh $54.28 | $62.30 | $54.28 Product ID: 91059FL13A

Gold Plus warranty?
Whitesnake replied to Buzz Oliver's topic in Sixth Generation Legacy (2015 -2019 )
Do you have any update contact information? -
My wife's car is still under the 3/36 month warranty. It's currently a Lease, but we are thinking of buying out the lease since the prices for cars are soo expensive. I heard there is a person "luke corcione" that has better pricing, but I don't have his current contact info. Can anyone assist?

Guys, I remember when I first purchased my 2015 Subaru, there was a subject about purchasing Subaru extended warranty (where people got it online cheaper). I can't seem to find it. My extended warranty is up, and since Prices for cars are expensive right now, i will probably keep it for a few more years. Do you know where I can get a Subaru Extended warranty from a Subaru Dealer Online cheap? For me, the extended warranty was worth it (had to get a Front engine cover replacement) that would have cost me over $1500 without the extended warranty, and didn't have to pay for it, also some other work. Thanks.

I have a 2015 Legacy w/ Eyes sight, never had an issue. Only issue is if have to change your front window you have to get eye sight get aligned appropriately. Alignment should have anything to do with eyesight

Where does this screw down to?
Whitesnake replied to Whitesnake's topic in Sixth Generation Legacy (2015 -2019 )
Thanks for your replys. I just looked up on he web and it does look like the proper place for it. Unfortunately I am not that car savvy. when I was younger I used to do my own oil changes, and even once on a 1987 ford escort i replace a fuel filter (was right in the engine bay). But the cost of doing your own oil changes don't seem to be worth it. Looking at the attached photo i found on the web, what version ever came with a engine cover like this? I don't have an engine cover everything is open -

Gen 6 Battery Replacement Info
Whitesnake replied to ammcinnis's topic in Sixth Generation Legacy (2015 -2019 )
Just had (In my honest opinion) a great experience with Costco to exchanging my car battery. In Dec 2018 I purchased an Interstate 42 month battery from Costco. July 2021 I took my car into the dealership for a multipoint inspection, and they noticed my battery was medium battery life left and should replace it in a few months. I contacted my local Costco to see how to do an exchange on a battery saying my dealer said I needed a new battery soon. I took my battery out, and took it to Costco, and they only charged me $8.## for a new battery since the new battery costs more then I purchased the old one for, also the new battery comes with a new 36 month warranty (not pro-rated from the old battery). I say that was a good deal. NOTE, Costco does not install car batteries, it's a DIY. -
60k scheduled maintenance?
Whitesnake replied to CamaroMan79's topic in Sixth Generation Legacy (2015 -2019 )
My Dealers is only charging me $399.95 to do the 60k. They were saying they also sometimes do a fuel injection cleaning $189. But I think I will do that at 72k when they replace the fuel filter.. What do you guys think? -
