I plan on taking it a fee times eventually but it's mostly just my daily. I do a little bit of spirited street driving but that's mostly it. What brake fluid do you guys use in your LGT's? If that is too spendy, there are plenty of options: Motul RBF 660/600, ATE Type 200, Motul DOT 5.1, etc. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
JoeSkye Posted July 17, 2018 Share Posted July 17, 2018 Any Dot 4 fluid with a 450+ boiling point. Do NOT get silicone-based brake fluid. It will react with the oil fluid and ruin lots of expensive parts. Most Dot 5 fluids are silicone. Motul Dot 5.1 mentioned above is not. It is safe to run. stevenva Posted August 5, 2018 Share Posted August 5, 2018 None will be noticed on a daily. They are all just hydraulic fluids with a high boiling temp. The're all hygroscopic and must be changed with new at regular intervals to prevent internal corrosion. It may be placebo, but I've found I can run it longer and keep great pedal feel. Otherwise, I change/flush fluid every year with standard DOT 4 from the parts store. On a DD?
