joeb-z
I've got angles on new sets of these rims in 17" X 7" at a fairly close price. Any opinions on which is better from a performance, durability, quality viewpoint? I'm not interested in cosmetics. http://www.tirerack.com/images/wheels/bbs/swap/bbs_rk_bs_ci3_l.jpghttp://store1.yimg.com/I/fastwrx_1866_20661231
mmm def
post some pics you'll get a better response-even though that's cosmetic, we like looking at pics to help our decisions.
harrydog
Both of these are high quality wheels. The BBS name speaks for itself, and the Prodrive is made by OZ, another top name. I've always liked the look of the Prodrive. It's a strong wheel but a little heavy at 19.5 lbs in 17". The BBS RK is lighter at 17.2 lbs. I think both would be very close in durability with a slight edge going to the Prodrive just because it's heavier. If you care about unsprung weight, the RK would be the better choice. You can't go wrong with either wheel.
PGT
P1's are bombproof. BBS is known to be as well, but I don't believe the RK is a forged wheel. If both are cast, I'd probably go with P1's. If the RK's are forged, then easy choice.
BDII
Im a fan of BBS. I have had them in the past and I was very pleased. As far as styling goes, between the two? i like the BBS. I think Im gonna get a pair. why just a pair? I know I myself can only afford a pair of any rims right now though..be it BBS, Prodrive, Rota.... And to be on topic, I prefer the P1s. The performance, PLUS the better looks. P1s are some of the hottest rims on the Legacy...

joeb-z
Well. I made my decision. How does $141 each for the BBS sound! They are cast and quite light but I have to figure BBS knows what they are doing. Now to get rid of those Saab caps. http://www.genuinesaab.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=385&osCsid=4cd62b639bd93946d71e472042b481c3
PGT
oh...the Saab versions. They finish is different, plus the center caps. Still, a nice wheel.

Although Grafxwerks offers interesting possibilities.
IwannaSportSedan
POST PICS!!! When you get them of course... If I had the cash and the Legacy, It would be BBS 18x7.5 RG-R and Bridgestone RE950s or Vredestein Ultracs for 3-seasons, and 17x7.5 RV-F with Vredestein Wintrac Extreme tires for winter. Forged rims and premium tires... confidence inspiring... Those RKs and almost any Prodrives are very tempting, though too (I like PFF7 prodrives almost as much as BBS RG-Rs.) The BBS caps will look much better than saab caps.

hal9e3
$141 is a killah price! I paid $219 over a year ago and thought that was a good deal at the time. BTW these wheels are discontinued so you may want to pick up a spare just in case. I'm seriously considering it. Here's a pic of my OBP LGTL MT wagon w/ RKs: http://www.legacygt.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=3484
joeb-z
Heres a crummy picture of the RKs on a silver Saabaru. http://gm.wieck.com/forms/gm/PV__021643__.jpg
hal9e3
BTW when did Saab replace the 2005 model's 17" wheels? They look very similar to but are shinier than the BBSs, have a +55 offset and are made by Enkei. If you haven't already sprung for the RKs you might want to check them out. There's bound to be some takeoffs available on the Saab boards.
zildjiank
RK's man... BTW, why so stinking small? If you are upgrading the wheels and tires, why get stock sizes? The bigger the better...
