ShowMeUrOsFace
Changing out my spark plugs to hopefully fix my rough idle, I found the rear passenger side plug had some oil in the well. The other three were perfectly dry. I had a p0302 (cylinder 2 misfire) come up, but correct me if I'm wrong isn't cylinder 2 the front drivers side? I'm going to try to get the o ring replaced asap, but any other advice would be appreciated Thanks
Max Capacity
Yes, #2 is front drivers side. Plugs will last about 73,000 miles but should be replaced every 60,000 miles. I think the valve cover needs to come off to replace that seal...? http://people.csail.mit.edu/ilh/vacation/ 305,600miles 5/2012 ej257 short block, 8/2011 installed VF52 turbo, @20.8psi, 280whp, 300ftlbs. (SOLD). CHECK your oil, these cars use it. Engine Build - Click Here
ehsnils
I agree, replace the seals, check and clean or replace the PCV valve.
edgemoulic
Same problem I have before, but mine had the worst oil leak which affected all of the plugs, luckily no misfires Inspite of my contaminated spark plugs. Seals
ShowMeUrOsFace
These are from my change, it's weird I was getting a Dylan's 2 misfire but it was 3 that was the contaminated well. Definitely running a bit smoother but still needs some work, injectors next. Maybe valves at the same time but finding time is difficult. Might go with a shop if it's too long of a process
