  1. Yes it is. Need to do a separate line on each side. So that to avoid problem down the road. Subaru didn’t put that there without a purpose but I took off mine and the brake system runs well without problems.
  2. The purpose of the joint is to prevent the leak from a total drain on the system. It is a safety feature of it. The little drop of fluid that you’ll see will stop once that joint left in there is empty to avoid total loss fluid of the system. I know because my brake was left 2 days in the parking lot and never emptied the system.
  3. It is interchangeable my main question is since my Legacy is non Turbo. What Will be the Best thing to do with the hole in the Middle of it. Would it be ok Or should I put something to block debris going in my engine.
  4. It is under my username. It will be Overkill to mention again what year and model. Unless they only read the wordings here.
  5. Hello Everyone hope everything is well. I Just started on changing all my doors because of rust here in my place especially on winter times. I found similar color which matches all my doors and bumpers. But I’m thinking to get the hood since my Legacy is non turbo. Would that hole Will give me a problem if I change mine with it.
  6. Mine is on the second diagram, you think it is the same part number or is there any aftermarket recommendation for the parts. My parts cost $241
  7. My CEL turned on yesterday with a blinking cruise control light. I check my OBD Code it was the O2 sensor. I wonder where it should be since I didn’t went under the car yet. Still using it for work and ordering the sensor next week.
  8. Do i need a gauge to tighten the drive belt or there's a guide to check the tightness
  9. I did a DIY on my Timing Belt as I did all the replacement. I think the Harmonic Balancer Rubber is already too hard and doesn’t absorb vibrations anymore. 147km in my gauge now. Thanks for the input.
  10. Hello Everyone, Just want to tell you a little story here and ask something curious on what happen with my car lately. I was waiting with my Wife on the Parking while She’s doing groceries. Car is still running and the AC was working but hot air is blowing in the cabin. So I was thinking that there’s a problem with the AC and decided to check it at home since my place is not that far 2km away. When I’m about to start my car it did start but the Battery Light and Handbrake was lit and I just wonder why. So I turn off the car and start again, still started I didn’t bother to open the hood since my place is not that far so I decided to check it at home. I drove it without AC and Power Steering luckily it didn’t overheat when I just found out at home that both of the drive belt were snapped. While I’m checking around what’s wrong with it since I change my timing belt 2 years ago without any problem here is the one problem that I saw on my harmonic balancer on what did actually happens to it??? Any ideas on this
  11. Nice looking car. That Color is rare here. Congrats and welcome to the forum
  12. I’ve been running mine with HID by xenon depot for 3 years now it is still up and working. No problem on incoming or tickets that I get from the time that I install it. I don’t even use my high beams since I’m mostly in the city and highway driving.
  13. If you want to be unique, build one. For sure this will cost like a new STI which is manufactured a thousand times. But this built is one of a unique one owner in His Country.
  14. Hey Everyone what is your ideal Idle or what should be the Ideal for my Subie 2.5 Limited 4EAT I See is half of 1 which the engine looks like stalling if I’m on traffic sometimes but so far so good. It is under power I think. My Van goes lower than 1 and not like this half of it
  15. Max I think your right I’m the second Owner and seems the previous Owner was an Old Lady which She barely use the car in the highways, it is a City driven car. I Just got it last year and there’s a lot of UP and Downs on it. Mainly Me which I Drive it crazy in the highway going 140kmh sometimes, the car engine adjusted on my Driving Habit and spent a little bit on it to get it running at it’s Best again, hopefully now it is mostly highway driven I hope that PCV Valve and seals I change should last longer.
  16. I used Vice Grip on mine with WD40 in it. The rest of the line looks good because it was covered with plastic but if you look closer rust is in there so I decided to change the whole line without worries later. The 1cm you mentioned that’s where the dealers put the Anti-seize that I called a joke, but that thing had a purpose on the design of the car which makes sense I think.
  17. Another cause of malfunctioned PCV Valve is leaking engine seals and spark plug oil seals which is hard for the engine oil to breath, I did mine last year with 131k Just figured it out when I changed the spark plugs because of the oil went thru the plugs.
  18. It is a design flaw. We cannot blame the dealers or the company it should be their engineers who didn’t think that the problem will exist cause of the bad design. In the first place the joint from the main brake line was covered with plastic. But the parts where prone to corrosion no matter what. Which in the first place they should use a copper tube, and I doubt because mostly of the manufactured cars brake lines are made of steel. I didn’t give up with mine and Thanks God that it didn’t happened when I’m on the road, now since you know that this is a preventive reminder go dig in the problem now rather than hitting someone later I Hope Not.
  19. Here’s my thread to give you idea, parts came mostly from Can-tire as it is returnable if you got a wrong parts unlike Autosupplies they won’t consider a return sometimes. https://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php/rusted-recall-brake-line-failed-269503p3.html
  20. Good Luck with SOC, I called them before the Local Dealer but wasn’t fair enough to consider my brake failure so I dig in and did myself done it’s been a year now and replace it with copper so no rust to worried about.
  21. Passenger side close to the Rear Right Wheel covered with plastic splash guard, once you take it off you will see the lines. Or better if you don’t want to go underneath there’s a line in the rear seats passenger side. Just take off the seat and you’ll see it there right away.
  22. Max I knew it, your following this thread as well, the relay that was put is the same as the fog lights using, I’m sure that relay is working well because I don’t use the fog lights often maybe once a year LOL, I’ll do the swap and see if it works, then get a new one after or leave it as is.
  23. Thanks Covertrussian that’s a good link to read, waiting for any input here before I decide but now I change my mind I’m going With the rubber brake line hose.
