al-gorithm
So how would you guys rate the Hankook W300 up against the RE92 in 225.45.17? A hair better? Moderately better? Or.... "these tires make the RE92 look stupid!" In the winter the Hankooks would rock the REs. In the summer they might perform the same, maybe louder but they would wear like crazy being that the Hankooks are winter tires. BTW go with a narrower tire like a 195/50/R17 for a winter. It will perform a little better in the snow than stock size. Dry, maybe not. I just picked up a set of WS50s in 225/45 for the stockers for $320 CAD. MUD
Those WS50s look a little too aggressive for what I need. Those W300s look as if they're meant to be all seasons. I was hoping they would out-perform the RE92s in dry & wet weather, so I could push the car a little more. It is the disposition of men to desire that which he cannot have, hence my un-quenchable wet desire for Shakira!
team23jordan
Does 300+ wtq count as a stress on the rims? I really like the Icebears, they handle better and are quieter than the RE92's, even in the dry. they's not enough torque to put stress on the rims my old truck, 2000 lightning, dynoed at 500rwtq and didn't even crack paint on any wheels Perrin BIG maf intake Perrin Turbo Inlet HKS SSQV BOV Megan Racing header with UP (ceramic coated) HKS DP (WRX) DMH E-cutout Custom 3" catback UTEC
NY Dragon Slayer
mattg , set up looks great . do the tires rub at all, in turns ? the stock tires seem fine to me now but the side wall is a bit too thin for nyc commuting .
mattg
no rubbing at all. it would be impossible to put wide enough tires on the stock rims to cause a rub.

NY Dragon Slayer
I was thinking that using a non profile tire would be a tighter fit .
