GEE-OTTO
Yes go with the 05 EJ255 over the 02 EJ205. Classier, newer and you wont get stoplight revs from B series guys trying to test out there fender exhaust

LatentWagen
Whats the costs? Whats the history? What mods? Truth, the answers to those questions should steer the OP's decision... An '02 WRX with the EJ205 can be a great car. They're more reliable, in comparison to our EJ255-equipped Legacys. Especially in stock trim, or lightly modified. The old ECU's were much more forgiving, ran rich, didn't have a CL/OL delay. Less torque, fewer parts to break because of it. More revs to compensate. Much simpler tech, too. Cable throttle, yum LW's spec. B / YT / IG
DGR81
Whats the costs? Whats the history? What mods? 02 WRX $4500 05 Legacy GT $5000 both stock. They both have a Carfax.
