Chulew
Noticed better mpg, smoother take offs, and more power (at least I think there is more power). Cheaper than regular 87 by about 10 cents too. Any reports of long term effects using E15? Someone told me I'll have to change the oil more often? 2008 2.5i 5MT with ~70k
fedaykin
I thought E10 was the accepted limit for regular unleaded burners. As long as you drive heaps, you should be fine.
nads
Most "E10" pumps will have a caveat that it it "Up too" 10% and if you found 15% its probably the same. The problem with Alcohol is it draw moisture. As per better MPG you should not see better, it should be the same or a hair worse as Alcohol has a higher stoichiometry than straight gasoline. That's why you see the EPA rating on flex fuel vehicles be worse for economy on E85 than Gasoline. Since it is getting colder what you see as E15 might also be winter fuel as the composition is changed for Summer for less evaporative emissions.
