Legaroo's Dream Car 06LGT

Recommended Posts

So... two weeks ago I had a 4ft wall of water come gushing out of this parking lot and pick my 2010 LGT up and completely flood it.. decided it was time to get out and swim once the dash started smoking lol.

So here's a pic of her :( This was 2 hours after I got out of her, the water had gone down significantly but still...sad

The a$$ end made the news that night :( Still a fine a$$ though...

So she's a 2006 with 151k on her.. lotta miles but that's alright.

Two families have owned her, one for 6 years of her life and the rest with the other... Adult driven the whole time but lightly modded.. just the way I wanted it...

-Turboback exhaust (still gotta get under her and figure out what she's got going on exactly.. quiet..needs cats removed lol)

-V2 Accessport

-Cobb Intake

-Tein Springs

-Cobb dual adjustable Short Shifter (needs adjusting)

-Pioneer DVD Dual Din Headunit (with dash swap)

So in the next post I'll detail what's coming in the mail :)

very happy I could get the TBE and AP included in purchase price. Took a good 1500 off of what was gonna be done to her in the beginning!

Wondering if anybody knows where I can source the stash tray and cig lighter section below the stereo and climate controls? (please disregard the shift knob and shift boot... they're being replaced lol)

Also would be looking to replace the faux woodgrain on the sides of the console if anybody could source that too!!!

My post isn't here anymore....

Welcome to our section of the forum.

Did the original owners...

Delete banjo screens?

Upgrade clutch?

Swap Up Pipe?

Use a tune other than what came on the Acessport?

Faux strips could be covered in vinyl if you like. I plan on doing that since it doesn't even match the wood on the steering wheel. Not sure how they decided real wood wheel but completely different grain faux plastic wood elsewhere.

Oil valve, you going nipple or no nipple? Either way is better than oem where you pee oil all over the tire.

Merc, I have to ask about the banjo screens, that's a good question.

The clutch is brand new (5k, stage 1 but I have plans to upgrade this when I get a stronger gearbox next year)

The uppipe is done but no it's just the stage2+ OTS tune. I tried to book with the local AP tuner and they're in the middle of acquiring a new hub dyno.. definitely don't want to be the first they run on that lol

Gonna let em practice so its the OTS map which does run a bit rich but still the numbers are acceptable.

Great idea about the vinyl that's much easier than replacing them!

EDIT: Don't quote me on this, but I think the same year Outbacks had this same ashtray/lighter design. My mom's '05 N/A Outback has one like it.

That's what I need but it looks like I need the shifter surround as well to fit that since mine is all one piece. Good find, thank you!

No, it is not one piece. And I'd be interested in your mpg display if you don't want it.

Also, sorry to see that you lost your LGT to flooding. That must have sucked real bad when it happened :(.

Busy man today over here lol

Front lip installed

New headlight housings installed

New HIDs in said housings

New HIDs in foglights (pain in the ass to wire up)

Bumper quick release installed

So everything went well with the headlight housings those were a breeze to change.. the HIDs were kind of a pain in the ass cause I had to solder up a new harness but still no big deal..They definitely needed to be done. I'm going to restore the old ones and crack em open for some LEDs and a clearing I think...

The fogs were kind of a PITA to install cause you have to modify the covers just like the headlights but there's way more involved. It's all done though and it looks great! They also needed to have custom harnesses made, easy though.

My amazon S204 lip fit really nice and went on easily. None of the mounting points were used as it was designed for a 2006 WRX

what did you use to restore the lenses?

which leds are you going to use?

Says new headlights installed, I'm partial to the 05 housings as that's too much chrome for me.

For my restore I used meguiars ultimate compound and a DA buffer. Came out nice for about 20 mins of work but I didn't seal it from the elements. It slowly reverted back to cloud after 6 months of driveway gnome duties. I have a UV clear spray paint I was suppose to use on it but didn't feel like pulling the bumper or masking it off on the car.

At 151k Miles

-FINALLY got around to doing an oil change with T6 and an OEM filter.. gotta look into a smaller filter wrench because I had to hammer a screwdriver into the old filter.. was way too small for the wrench

I see. For some reasons, the word 'housing' made me think it excluded the lenses.

I used some Costco toothpaste a couple weeks ago . It helped a little.
