leighos
So I replaced the halogen's in my front bumper a few months back, imported some LED from China that were supposed to use Osram chips, fast forward to today and they are failing - I thought LED were supposed to be long lasting? Can anyone recommend replacements that will last longer (keep in mind I am in NZ too). Sent from my ZUK Z1 using Tapatalk

testa422
Prob a lot made in China but have to make sure they use the legit parts like osram and all that. The Chinese are well known for lesser quality copies as well as branding something as legit but it really isnt
GTEASER
Stick with a brand name from a company with a warranty and great customer support. Here in the US, a lot of us use.... http://www.vleds.com http://www.diodedynamics.com http://www.theretrofitsource.com http://www.morimoto.com Good stuff is pricey. Plan on spending $100 on a good set of H11 LED fog light bulbs. If you're getting stuff from China on Aliexpress, etc, chances are that you're not paying that kind of money, and you're not getting warranty and support. Your bulbs may very well have Osram chips, but the circuitry behind them is likely what is failing. FLlegacy
I agree wholeheartedly the cheap led bulbs in my wife's tribeca just keep acting up they flicker and sometimes dont work at all.
foxrider28
^+1 Don't waste your money on cheap LED lights. I had a position light go out early spring, so I just grabbed some cheap, $7.99 USD, 5 led bulbs from Walmart which looked good at first but they lasted a whole 2 months before they were useless. They started to flicker after about a week and went out a few times because of the crappy contacts. I ended up ordering some Phillips Xtreme Vision 360 led bulbs for $20 USD and they work perfectly. FLlegacy
I believe advance auto carries the phillips LEDs, they are not cheap but after buying two sets of cheap bulbs you will end up buying a set of better ones.
Unsp0kn
I have these, I don't use my fogs much during the summer, we will see how they are this winter. https://www.superbrightleds.com/moreinfo/led-vehicle-replacement-bulbs/led-headlight-kit-h11-led-headlight-bulbs-conversion-kit-with-flexible-tinned-copper-braid/2218/4998/
