menchgelof
What do you all recommend for the obtaining an official service manual for the 5th gen Legacy? I see several third-party websites advertising it for $10-$20, but they all seem suspect. Where do you all get them from?

dgoodhue
I normally buy a paper set of service manuals for any car that I buy, but it doesn't seem that Subaru sell hard copies. The official manuals from Subaru is pricey to pay $35 every time you need to perform a repair.

GTEASER
When I first bought my car, the dealership said there were like 12 volumes of the FSM ranging in price from 8.95 to 46.95 each. It all added up to more than $300. I passed and bought the PDF version on eBay for $10. GTEASER
Is this the official one from Subaru? Is it high quality? I have gotten 3 of them for my various Subaru's in PDF format from different vendors on EBay, and they all seem to be an exact copy of the FSM and I have never run across any errors. Everything you could possibly want is there. GTEASER's 2012 Legacy GT - Sold GTEASER's 2009 XTeaser - Sold GTEASER's 1992 Legacy SS - Sold
