This has been a sucky week. WTB LGT rolling chassis.

So driving home Sunday just about to make a appointment when I got home to get my motor the final break in oil change. And this happened...http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160617/24d31bd0b17d81a0bb3ed22d474c3b53.jpg

Sharp turn on a gravel road. Turned to late and to quickly. The rear end slid out and I over compensated. Then in a one in a million combination of a really deep ditch and momentum. She stood on her nose in the ditch landed on her side and gently flopped onto her roof.

I walked away just fine the airbags didn't Evan go of. The whole thing happen with almost a comical slowness.

As you can see the passenger side and most of the front end is pretty screwed up. The roof is slightly caved in on the driver side. Insurance company totaled her Wednesday.

So know I am in the reverse of the situation I was in when I bout the car. Before I had a good car and no motor. Now I have a perfect motor and no car to put it in. So I'm looking for a rolling chassis or LGT with a blown motor to so pm if you got one to sell. Will travel for it so Pretty much any where in Ohio, West Virginia, and some of Kentucky, Pennsylvania,.

With body in good shape.

Really my only limitations for a body.

Thanks for letting me whine.

Wow, that does suck, glad you're ok.

On the plus side, there's no shortage of LGT's with blown motors. It may be difficult to find one that hasn't been thrashed though.

Good luck!

Sorry for your loss. But like Holla said, should be easy to find a GT that needs a engine.

Good luck, glad your ok.

I guess these cars are really that safe.

305,600miles 5/2012 ej257 short block, 8/2011 installed VF52 turbo, @20.8psi, 280whp, 300ftlbs. (SOLD).  CHECK your oil, these cars use it.

Thanks guys. All things considered it could have been way worse. Subaru deff lives up to their reputation for safety. And you right Holla I already got a 2 LGT's I'm looking in to. Gonna go look at an ,05 in Cincinnati Monday if all goes well.

So I brought home that ,05 base model today. Motor is completely screwed another casualty of banjo bolt filters. But should be a good candidate for the swap. Deff dirty from siting a while but other wise solid.http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160621/af25fcee5d457ac79944d8f39c6ae1af.jpgthttp://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160621/633d97eb397ea9e84aaca74aa16d838f.jpg

Even found a few surprises. Already has a K/N CAI,resonator delete, a short throw shifter of unknown make, and 6000k lights, all led interior lights and a decent set of Rota wheels with new summer tires.

Interior and body in great shape. Just some rust spots along the drain holes at the base of the trunk. It's out of sight so no problem sandblasting it out and hitting it with primer and cheap touch up pain.

Probably from a bad weather seal somewhere on the truck so I'll have to hunt that down seal it.

I'll post some more pics when it's clean then on to the swap.

Found a white 05 premium in really good shape. Has any one done a clothe to leather seat swap?

I can't imagine that the panels attach any differently (aside from headliner if the black car has a sunroof). Should be able to swap the whole interior in an afternoon. Only thing I can think of is maybe the wiring being different for the power seats.

But yeah, white with tan leather would be awesome.

Thats pretty much what I found in my research. Every thing should be good accept the wiring. I'll just have to take my old seat wiring and all, then just figure out where the wires go.
