There was a thread talking about swapping hubs out completely from a 6th gen to a 5th gen. From research on parts.subaru.com we concluded that the axles where the same PN's we ended finding some 6th gen hubs at some junkyards but noone took the plunge to try to compare. Most of the guys that have done those kind of tests and research are mostly tied up trying to figure out the nameless downpipe issues. But as for adapters they should move the offset out so clearing suspension shouldn't be an issue but the fender may need a bit of a roll depending on tire size.
