You have to measure your vehicle(s) to see if you need the ext. I ended up needing the ext version for the 2010 Legacy because the pinch weld lift points were so far apart. It still fits under my 2003 VW Jetta (its close) which is a short car.

I bought the OEM kit, and in the middle of installing it. They included two bolts with shoulders that don't fit into the fog light, so the bolts are too short. Anyone have this issue?
