coldsoda
Is this possible without changing anything to the car? it would be nice to know what car you are talking about, but your profile isn't quite filled out all the way, so this is a random example. in 2008 the legacy gt had 17x7 +55 5x100 wheels with 215/45 R17 tires. in 2008 the legacy specb had 18x7 +55 5x100 wheels with 215/45 R18 tires. so we know that if you have 17s now, the 18s listed above would fit perfectly fine. I happen to be running 225/45/18 tires on my stock 18x7 spec b wheels, FWIW if you want to calculate tire size differences, check this out: http://www.discounttire.com/dtcs/infoTireMath.do we also have a full Wheels/tires section on this forum (read the sticky threads) here for more examples and help: http://legacygt.com/forums/forumdisplay.php/wheels-tires-43.html you'll probably really like this thread: http://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php/wheels-fit-05-08-legacy-and-outback-19741.html

paul7ro
18's should fit fine. I currently have 18X7.5 Helo wheels and have no problems whatsoever. Here are some threads that can help you: http://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php/wheels-fit-05-08-legacy-and-outback-19741.html http://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php/faq-offsets-sizes-rims-and-tires-gt-xenonk-version-4426.html?t=4426
Phate
On the stock 17's and 215/45's, the speedometer read a couple mph high on the highway (most cars do this). On my 205/50R17 snow tires, it read pretty much dead on (my snows are larger diameter and skinnier than the stock tires. My summer wheels and tires are 235/40R18's, which are larger still. Speedometer reads 2mph low on the highway, otherwise there's no difference at all.
