Phillip J. Fry
anyone have issues with it coming loose? i tightened it the other day and i got a few more 1/4 turns out of it again today. thinking about getting a new clamp installed but was curious how common this may or may not be. Th3Franz
It's pretty common for the clamp to loosen up. I recommend upgrading to a t bolt clamp -Franz The end of a Legacy http://www.youtube.com/th3franz
quick4dr
tighten it then lockwire it. I use grocery store wire ties and wrap it through the threads so it cant back out. could also dab lock-tight on it, ive seen that method hold very well.
Phillip J. Fry
seems its a little screwy from being over tightened in the past. will be replaced when i change the inlet.
Tuning Alliance
Rip off that little plastic flap on the TB coupler also, and tbolt yes. Worm clamps loosten overtime, and only apply actual pressure (clampage) on one spot, where a tbolt spreads it out more. -Brian Contact us for all your tuning and performance parts needs! Max Capacity
FWIW, I found the T bolt clamps I ordered from a Speed Shop were to big (wide and high) to fit on the TB hose and tmic. So make sure you get ones that will fit. My wagon is at TA currently, or I'd check and see if I used those T bolt clamps on the GS tmic install. 305,600miles 5/2012 ej257 short block, 8/2011 installed VF52 turbo, @20.8psi, 280whp, 300ftlbs.
