Unrelated, but would you still looking back would you have still gone with modifying cars? Or do you just view it now as wasted time and money?

I bought this car knowing there was a community of support and mods available. The $6k was sort of unexpected, but I bought the car when I was in a financial position to support my desire to mod it.

Nope. I would have bought a used Accord V6 EXL coupe with a 6speed and not modified it.

It was wasted money, but not time. I learned how to do my own maintenance which has saved me thousands.

I also made some great friends at Subaru meets that I still keep in touch with.

I found a way to piss away almost 20k on a 25 year old Camaro right out of high-school. Listen to BDII, great experience, but it's a trap!!!

That said, if wrenching is in your blood, there's no escaping. Even when you do adult things like buy a family oriented sedan to commute an hour to your job in front of a keyboard all day. There's that part back in your brain that said hmmm turbo and a manual?
