gtonstilts Posted February 25, 2016 Share Posted February 25, 2016 Just put one on last week and got it aligned, The N/a Legacy and all Outbacks have the 3.2:1 ratio rack the LGT has the 2.7:1 rack and the Spec b (and STI) have the 2.5:1 rack the rac ratio refers to how far it can turn lock to lock, meaning if you start all the way L and turn it til it stop R so 2.5 is 2.5 turns lock to lock this may not be a huge difference for the LGT guys, but let me tell you going from the 3.2 to 2.5 is like going from a school bus to a go cart. the car is very fun to drive now, there is pretty much no turn i can't take with my 1 hand griped, no more rolling it on my palm, and hand over hand is way overkill one of the best upgrades i have done yet Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Underdog Posted February 25, 2016 Share Posted February 25, 2016 Spec.B is same ratio as LGT but has internal stops to limit range, to prevent rubbing with the Spec.B's taller wheel/tire setup. gtonstilts Posted February 25, 2016 Author Share Posted February 25, 2016 hmm, learn something new every day.... i can live w that esp since im running a fairly agressive wheel and tire set up. 245/45 on 17x7.5 +35 w 20mm spacers ( had to cut, flair, and hammer the arches a lot ) it beats the hell out of 3.2 thats for sure ! Underdog Posted February 25, 2016 Share Posted February 25, 2016 Yes the difference is night and day! I always loved my GT rack after switching DD responsibilities to my OBXT.
