06LGTNZ Posted May 20, 2015 Posted May 20, 2015 Does any one know why my 06 legacy makes a grinding type noise when I'm turning and accelerating heavy? It mainly happens when pulling out of a junction. It's almost as if it should be under steering but it doesn't it just makes the noise and goes round the corner. Cheers
rmoore5 Posted May 20, 2015 Posted May 20, 2015 Might check the wheel bearings. They don't last forever. My LGT sometimes makes noise from the CV joints under accel when it's cold, but it does it in a straight line also. You can feel it thru the steering wheel also.
06LGTNZ Posted May 20, 2015 Author Posted May 20, 2015 Yeah I have had cv boots go before I don't think it is that. It has made this noise since I bought it over a year ago. it hasn't been an issue because I don't usually accelerate hard while turning 90 degrees.
DonnyJagaru Posted May 29, 2015 Posted May 29, 2015 Guessing CV joint. If you can get under car with wheel off the ground you should be able to determine.
