Subaguru
So in my recent vacuuming I noticed a little wire hanging down from underneath the glovebox, far against the firewall. Upon further inspection I noticed that it appeared to just be disconnected. This wire has a green connector, with an identical male/female green connection dangling close by. It just looked too weird to have not been plugged into its counterpart. So I plugged it in. "check engine" light appears. So I unplugged it, and the light was gone. Now I know the obvious answer would be that it's for an option that I don't have installed, but it just looked too convincing of a connection to not be connected. Therefore, I figured it would at least be worth a post, see if anyone else has noticed this? Thanks Everybody.
rao
It is the test connector, it is used to perform certain tests during the PDI process. Leave it unplugged. Rob IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR CAR YOU SHOULD NEVER DRIVE IT
Subaguru
Thanks Rao, I guess that would've been obvious answer #2.
