Soarin
You'll only need the AVO Rear Swaybar braces when running bigger sways, right? I'm putting in Whiteline rear sway bushings and AVO solid endlinks with the stock swaybar and just want to be sure.
whitetiger
yes, but because the mounting areas for the bar is so flimsy, putting the stout mounts on will help any bar work better. So though you dont need it, it still may be a good thing to get, ad if you get a larger bar in the future, you will already be set.
Underdog
Like WT said - I always recommend it. Pick up some longer M8x1.25 bolts (qty.4) to make your life easier as well. I want to say 25mm long but I am not 100% on that. The dog point on the original bolt plus the added thickness of the AVO brace makes getting the original bolts threaded a real pain. I have also drilled out the weld nuts on the factory mount and used flanged nuts instead to make future service easier, but that is overkill. Soarin
Thank you for the replies and after some thought I ordered them late last night and they'll be here next Wednesday. I figured that the extra insurance is more worth it than not. Also, would these be the bolts I'm looking for? http://m.summitracing.com/parts/arp-761-1002?seid=srese1&gclid=CJrw-vSxycMCFQhafgodr4gA9A
Underdog
Let me go out and measure before you buy those pricey bolts. Damn... The Crimson Dynamo
Underdog
M8x1.25 25mm long flange head bolt will leave you enough thread to put a nut on behind the weld nuts. 20mm long if you want a stock length bolt but just without the dog point. I buy from these guys - but they are right up the road so I don't pay for shipping. The Crimson Dynamo
Soarin
The ARP ones are expensive. I was thinking of going to Lowe's or Home Depot today and getting the right size stainless steel bolts in 20mm.
Soarin
I found the stainless steel bolts at Lowe's and got them with lock washers. Mission acomplished. Thank you for all of the info and replies.
