panamajack
I have a 05 sedan that I want to trade for a 05 wagon. I have some mods done to the car. (swaybars, springs) I dont have the parts to switch the car back to stock. Will I take a big hit on the trade in? Should I look for a private buyer? wukindada
Look for a private buyer...then you have the leverage with a dealer;) Otherwise the dealer is going to really screw you! Toyota 6EATS .........SUCK!!!!!!
Guest *Jedimaster*
Wise decision my friend- you must be one of the smart sedan owners who looked at the car and said "Hey, waitaminnit! Where's the rest of the car?" *Runs and hides to dodge things being thrown*
rallispec
If i could trade to the wagon without taking any hit in price at all - just a straight up trade - and get to transfer all my mods over -- i'd probably do it. Can't afford to trade now. Plus, if i had gotten a wagon i would have really wanted the limited model, which would have made it to far out of my price range. Rollin Wes
Wagons are nice! Allll that room in the baaack!!! Hehehe
rallispec
IT wouldnt bother me at all if the seats in the sedan folded down... But thats not the case. Oh well. On the bright side, the sedan looks way better than the wagon.

I'll agree with oyu on that- I don't think they're that bad, but I like the sedan lights much better!
Leonardo
I would trade for a wagon in a heartbeat but no base model anymore. There was a base model GRP on the lot next to mine but had tan interior and was auto. Besides, the sedan is lighter My wife has an X5 so no more wagons were needed anyway so I passed, but if it were white/black w/ stickshift I would have grabbed it! Beanboy
Bah, sedans might be lighter, but not by much. And with the weight all in back, the wagons are more balanced in the corners! At least the wagons don't get confused with a Toyota Camry in a parking lot... OH NOES!!! -B -B http://www.standardshift.com
Leonardo
As I said, I love wagons but none were imported to my specs. An island is a funny thing, can't drive to another state and pick the one you want
rallispec
at least we can still get ours in a manual. I am jealous of the wagons giant moonroof though.
Leonardo
Oooooh, that's right! Wagons don't come in stickshift anymore. That eliminates the potential future trade.
mbacis
You could just sell your mods on a trade basis to get your sedan back to stock. Then you wouldn't have any problem trading it in. Depending on what you have I might bite.
