dcgt05
Ok, I feel silly posting this and this isn't really the proper forum, but for good reason, I suppose, there isn't an appropriate forum for my question. With keys in my pocket, I am constantly triggering the door locks on the car. I bend down to pick something up - beep beep. I lift something to carry - beep beep. I lean against a table - beep beep. Driving me NUTS! Keys in my pocket, like I've had them my entire life, so the solution to simply take them out of my pocket doesn't work. I'll just end up losing them. Or needing them and they're clear on the other side of the house. Any good tips for this??
LeGiT_Flat4
Well I'm not sure if you're looking to spend money to solve the problem but one option might be to buy an "All in one" key which I believe would be less prone to accidental button pushing. I've been thinking about getting one just to have less stuff in my pocket. You would have to have a dealership cut and program it but it seems like some people have been able to get that done for less than $50. http://www.infamousperformance.net/servlet/the-1231/Subaru-Legacy-%27All-In/Detail http://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php/all-one-key-fred-bean-156375p2.html
dcgt05
Those keys look similar to mine but the button layout is different so I'm guessing my key is already an all-in-one. Some people have multiple keys for one car? I need a key that has something like a safety flap over it - like on F16 jet fighters where they flick up that trigger cover just before they blast away at the enemy. Unfortunately I don't think that exists.
