undercoverlegacy Posted August 6, 2014 Share Posted August 6, 2014 I have a 2011 Legacy and about 6 months ago I had to have the radiator replaced (Body shop forgot to install the rubber mounts). in the last few weeks there has been a persistant smell in the car, its a sweet smell, but not a good smell. I have since tried everything to get the smell out but it persists, especially in hot weather with the windows closed. Also, of note is that when i pulled out the cabin air filter and the metal components are rusty (the car has always been in CO) and also recently I noticed that when i started it one morning what looked like steam came up on the outside of the windshield at the base.
