Yea I need to touch mine up as well, it started to pour in the middle of my mod so I had to rush a few things and isn't up to my usual 'German precision' standard...lol... I try and not look at the few spots that could be better. 99% of people wouldn't notice them, but still sucks to know that they are there. I would recommed using some type of slim trim tape (light tackiness) to mark the borders of the paint for anyone planning to do this mod in the future, it'll will give you much better control around the countours of the lights. After you outline it w/ the trim tape, i would using blue painters tape i.e. good quality masking tape to fill in the middle.
TSiWRX
jasonetc, You'll find a complete, picture-guide walk-through in the "Walk Throughs" section on this Forum. It describes EACH STEP that you need to go through for this mod, minus the actual painting/blacking-out. There are many methods of "baking," from heat-gun to oven, and you should choose a method which is comfortable for you. <-- I love Winky, my "periwinkle" (ABP) LGT! - Allen / Usual Suspect "DumboRAT" / One of the Three Stooges '16 Outback, '16 WRX, 7th Subaru Family

Anyway, has anyone done color matching with this mod? I had that on my R32 and it looked... awesome!

Tronix
as not to open yet another thread, i'll just post mine here...http://tcforum.com/tronix/legacy/nhl2.jpg http://tcforum.com/tronix/legacy/nhl1.jpg I used Duplicolor Gloss Black. If I'm not using my air guns, and have to use a can, I swear by duplicolor. Oh, and I painted my grill the same color as the wheels to tie them in even better to the car. -Tronix(bandwagon)GT for more pics and info... http://angevine.org/legacy/legacy.html

Brady
Kanoswrx - It takes little skill. Really, I think it just takes a lot of patience. And I wouldn't call myself a patient person. It might take some guts to crack open the headlight assembly too, but really, it was a painless process. I bought: (1) can of Flat black enamel Spray paint (1) roll of blue masking tape (1) sheet of 400 grit sandpaper Then I followed the instructions for clearing headlights (remove grill, remove bumper, remove lights, bake lights, open lights ... etc.) You will need the following tools: Patience 10mm socket wrench Phillips screwdriver Flat head screwdriver (or other applicable tool to open up pop-it fasteners) #15 Torx Razor blade (exacto knife best) to trim the masking tape around the reflector Oven or Heat gun (to heat up lights to open the seal). Really, you should have pretty much all the tools. I would guess you just need to buy spray-paint, maybe masking tape. It was really worth it. Look in the walkthroughs section to find how to do all of this in greater detail.
