XxCAUTIONxX
About a week ago I hit a rather large pothole and about a mile down the road I got a cel. I found out it was a cylinder 3 misfire. Then it started idelng very bad (like 300 rpm) and there was a noticible knock or tapping sound above 3, 000 rpm. Its just been sitting since while I attempt to fix it. I've cleaned the maf, replaced the spark wires and 1 and 3 plugs, had the timing checked because it was recently done, check the valve clearances had it hooked up to a scan tool which showed the fuel going up and down in a cycle. Cylinder 3 plug smells like gas and the exaust is rich. Compression on #3 was good also. I'm going to get a new coil pack from the junk yard just to test. And other opinions would be highly appreciated. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using Tapatalk

XxCAUTIONxX
Ya still not really sure how it may have been coincidence or it was on its last leg and the knock did it
GEE-OTTO
Was the pump bad or is that the likely culprit? oil pumps dont typically fail on those engines maybe the pothole jarred something or the problem was there and finally grenaded
