Well, it has taken awhile, but I have managed to clean up the forester. Took the seats out, it may seem staged, but I did not add/remove or move anything except the seats.

At this point I'm seriously considering TexasLegacy2.5's recommendation to just replace the carpet. But thinking it might be cleanable, until I start cleaning and discover........

BUGS! Live little crawly bugs, like you find in old rice or cereal. They were living large on all those food stores under ALL the seats! As soon as I started scraping stuff, they started to scatter.

So, the carpet had to go!

I knew there was a 2000 forester at the pick and pull that had gray carpet, so I went and picked it up, cleaned it up, repaired where someone had cut it, and installed.

I also spent 4 hours using an extractor on the seats, they came out fairly well. I'm pretty content with the results. I also replaced the shifter surround with one that was in better shape, and spent another 2-3 hours cleaning the center console, dash, and all the other hard trim pieces. I have since removed all the tint, and will be re tinting them shortly. I'll post more picks later.
