smithwoods
My (used) 2006 legacy limited wagon has the button but is missing the windshield wiper heaters. It is possible the windshield has been changed. Can the heating elements be added? Where are the hook up connecters? Thanks, Dan

smithwoods
Carfax calls it a "2006 Subaru Legacy 2.5i LMT/SP ED AWD". The windshield is a Pilkington Solar. I have the wiper defrost button and it lights up when pressed but nothing defrosts. I see no sigh of elements as I have seen on other Subies. Carfax shows no accidents reported. When I bought the car one of the accessories listed is wiper defroster.
Max Capacity
Not everything get's put on carfax, sorry just a fact of life. PM IGW, he's a glass guy. He may have some info for you. But I'm betting that's not a factory windshield. Someone replaced it with some less then what was supposed to be in there. 305,600miles 5/2012 ej257 short block, 8/2011 installed VF52 turbo, @20.8psi, 280whp, 300ftlbs. (SOLD). DonnyJagaru
I don't believe the heating element can be added after the fact. Someone was being frugal replacing the windshield.
