svx2005
I've been using a K&N filter on my GT for 3 months now.... i havn't had any problems caused by the oil. I just have the pannel filter in the stock air box. I did notice a significant difference in turbo spool up.... can't really "feel" much difference in acceleration tho... just some more noise and BOV sound. While launching the car, stock filter only used to allow the torque converter to rev to about 3000 RPM against the brake... when i put the new filter in, the TQ revvs to 3500 RPM (guess the turbo isn't having to work as hard and making more power now due to increased effeciency) and i got some tire chirp now... so it does launch harder and spool a little faster... hey it was worth the $50 to me
CFar
IM not stock but.. got tuned over the weekend & a/f was a flat line "base" dyno. w/ kn typhoon intake Hm? Do you mean that with the thyphoon, the afr was the same as with the stock box?
PhilT
The AFR always goes to a flat line once it goes out of its narrow band that it can read. You will only get between 11.14 and 20.33 unless you install a wide band sensor. Double Award Winning Legacy GT Wagon
CFar
What does the "base" mean though. Pretune?
GTsleeper
Yes, pre-tune Maybe they dont know what there doing. They told me it couldnt get better reading from it. I also watched a/f gauge on the base run- looked good to me.
