I just picked up a set of stock B25 heads for my build that I haven't started a thread for yet...LOL. Anyway, I'm looking for a light port and polish on these heads before I put them together and wondered who you would use for such an operation. Hand porting/blending is acceptable but I would prefer pressurized abrasive clay and even possible flow bench testing unless they are so experienced that they simply know already what to do.

I know of no one locally for me that's a specialist for Subaru heads for this kind of performance work and know from experience that the absolute best way to completely ruin anything that intake and exhaust run through, is to port it yourself (ask me how I know about this on 2 stroke dirt bike cylinders) so there's no WAY I would touch it myself except to chamfer the edges...LOL.

I have no problem sending them somewhere if you know for fact that the place you're recommending is very good with Subaru so, please guys, let 'er fly with recommendations. If any of them have a website or you can send me a link, so much the better. :)

Read the thread on NASIOC before you do this.

My buddies machine shop does the same basic porting. Only in the divider area and down around the valve pocket.

There is a picture in my click here link.

Just got the heads today and I'm going to look them over very closely before I do anything but once I determine they are in good shape, then the search begins.

Thanks much guys for all of the info. SOMEDAY, I'll start a thread on my build...LOL

Teasers:

Block halves have been completely decked and boron bored and diamond honed for 100mm CP pistons. King bearings throughout on new STi crankshaft and Manley H Beam rods. Molykoted piston skirts and ceramic dome applied. All mating surfaces for everything have been decked including water pump, oil pump, transmission, oil pan, etc. Moroso billet aluminum oil pan and pickup.

Heads are B25 and I'm putting in Crower cams, springs, and Ti keepers. Won't know if I need valves as of yet, but the heads only are supposed to have 45K on them and they looked very clean in the photos, so that phase begins. I'm inclined to just change them all out for Manley SS valves and be done with it. :)
