SATSFYD
Quick question about the use of an Acessport 002: If I buy an accessport for an '05 STI, would I need to changes the maps even if the Cobb website states the accessport is compatibility with my '06 LGT AT? And if so how would I go about doing that? Would I just "down load" the map from the Cobb website? Also If there is a sticky about Acessport use please let me know. **There are two types of people in the world, those who build horsepower and those who buy it. Which one are you? iNVAR
Of course you change the map. And yes, you download it off the site and load it onto the AP, and then load it onto your car. You better make sure whomever you're buying it from unmarried it first.
SATSFYD
How do you check to see if it has been unmarried to his STi? **There are two types of people in the world, those who build horsepower and those who buy it. Moderators BarManBean Posted November 15, 2013 Moderators Share Posted November 15, 2013 Plug it into the car and it should have a screen that says "Install". You can also scroll into the settings and check the installation state--it should say "Uninstalled". If you buy an AP through PayPal, don't EVER send payment as a gift--doing so offers you no protection should it show up in an unusable state. SATSFYD
Its a local buy. Thanks for the concern. **There are two types of people in the world, those who build horsepower and those who buy it. Which one are you?
Moderators BarManBean Posted November 15, 2013 Moderators Share Posted November 15, 2013 Since it's local, just have him flash it to your car. If it flashes (marries) to your car successfully you're obviously good to go! SATSFYD
Thanks but aren't the maps different for the STi and LGT? **There are two types of people in the world, those who build horsepower and those who buy it. stm25rs
Thanks but aren't the maps different for the STi and LGT? Yes they are, but the OTS maps are available for free online: http://www.cobbtuning.com/Accessport-Off-The-Shelf-Maps-s/40100.htm#/v/accessport/maps/subaru/lgt/LGT-Map-Grid Have him load the Stock Mode and/or Stage 1 map to the AP. Strizzy
All the maps for each vehicle is already loaded on the AP. Only the maps that work for your car will be available for you to choose once the AP is married to your car. My bad luck build
SATSFYD
Ah I just found out the guy still needs to unmarried the AP from the STi he sold! So the maps are already in the AP and it (AP) will know which maps are good for my LGT AT? SWEET! **There are two types of people in the world, those who build horsepower and those who buy it.
