DonnyJagaru
Ware? I do too on the road, but I sure as heck disabled that annoying chime. I don't generally wear it off-road, camping, reversing, driving on private roads/propery etc.

Naylor
i'm curious if there are statistics out there that show how many people have been killed by an ejected person from a another car.

DonnyJagaru
I wonder how many drivers have had accidents because they turned a sharp corner and their overweight passenger ended up on their laps?
Pennyless
I always wear my belt but the subaru chime is seriously annoying. I don't need it going off when the car is idling in the yard.
specialB
Question, I disconnected my driver side plug that activates the chimer, so no more drivers side chimer but the passenger side still does. since the driver side is not connected, the click/unclick trick wont work. can you still do it on the passenger front seat or the function has to be activated from the drivers seat only?? JJr
Wear the damn belt if you have any family or friends, if not, leave it off, no one will care if you're dead or a veggie! The chime is very annoying I finally got the 20 click method to work, not sure why it took me so many attempts to get it done though. Be safe and click it . I Donated Too laff79 Posted December 3, 2013 I Donated Too Share Posted December 3, 2013 I still don't get how you mongoloids can't get the seatbelt trick to work. I've never had a problem doing it in 3yrs of owning the car.

kzr750r1
One of the best free mods you can do on the car IMO is shutting that thing up. Had to enable it again after this last battery disconnect.
DonnyJagaru
I'm sure there are other Easter eggs on these cars that I'd like to learn about.
Jazz95
I wear my seatbelt just about any time I drive (no flaming here, it is just my habit). However in parking lots or on super short drives I don't always throw it on and that chime is incessant. I disabled mine by just unplugging the connector (2 pin, not an yellow srs connector) for it and it makes no impact on SRS. Bonus is that I don't have to re fix my chime disable if my battery goes dead. ^ this...
frank_ster
^ i did that but still get chime if i put my school bag on the seat or if my dog sits there. apparently there is the diode speaker under the steering column u can simply unplug Now that's thinking out of the boxer! fyi all 05 + legacy's have built in code reader
Jazz95
The above trick only works for the drivers side. Passenger side doesn't work because it'll trigger the airbag. Only thing that works for the pass side is the key on/off trick.
