Tomcat,

Are these Headers for the EZ30R or the EZ30D motor?

Well EZ30D does not exist

After 2004 there is only EZ30R and EZ36R

It looks like that Raptor headers are for EZ30/36R engines

There is picture of my EZ30R headers...

Very similar compared to Raptor...

I thought the single port EZ30 was the EZ30D?

TBird it IS. I think TomCat is completely unaware of THIS motor paved the way for the EZ30R:

But, evidently this motor simply never existed....

I didn't know how to phrase it without sounding like some of the other ass-wholes on this site that run to the flame when something simple is lost in translation or you make an opinion they dont like, BUT  the EZ30D was the H6 following the EG33 the blob port on the exhaust side was found in the early years of its existence (99-03) Then came the EZ30R which is still technically the EZ30D phase 2 then the EZ36D. We just say EZ30/36R bc the model designation is typically Legacy 3.0R or 3.6R.

No worries tho you did more for that engine then most ever will :)

Eloquently put Gee-otto. Yes, the EG33 that ran in the SVX (92-97)was the original H6 motor. The EG33 is basically the EJ22 stretched more cylinders. Years later (2000-03) Subaru decided to revamp that project and start again with the EZ30D in the Legacy outback and the L.L. Bean edition Outback. I don't think it is very versatile an engine as it lacks the AVVL (variable intake valve timing) and the AVCS that the EZ30R has.

And you are right Bout the EZ30D. That is more then anyone has ever done for it...

Here is some sounds from a EZ30 with headers and full exhaust

Should be a pic attached of the ceramic coated headers for the EZ30 multiport

40hp at 7300

But the gain is so large a retune is need to optimize engine performance. Those were the gains on a vehicle with previously fitted high flow cat and cat back w/tune

No torque loss anywhere including the critical 3000-4000 range.

Most likely the only 3.0 headers in the world with results

The chart is on the Raptor website in the header kits section

I am in talks with techworks engineering in canada about producing a set of headers for the 3.0/3.6r. They created a set of headers for my friends race subaru that were fantastic quality and charged him basically nothing. I think around 4-500 bucks. If anyone is in canada they may be looking for a test fit car.

Headers are gorgeous. Transition bits and following parts look like they could still use some cleaning up. Suspect initial fab work/test-fitting and that final will look clean and tight.

Im not selling my services here, but show the community the gains of such headers on different car years!

Xtreme Racing Tuning played a major role in the testing of the Raptor Headers for the Subaru 3.0R Engine.
