BOXRPWR
Goodies for Stage 3 are starting to arrive! Here are my 18x8.5 5Zigen GN+ wheels (+48mm) and Falken GR Beta FK-451 tires (245/35/18). Looks like the specs on the 5Zigens were a little optimistic. Found info saying "about 19 lbs." Yeah, right. Try 22.7 lbs. Well, that's still not too heavy considering size. http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a373/BOXRPWR/PICT0001A.jpg http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a373/BOXRPWR/PICT0002A.jpg http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a373/BOXRPWR/PICT0005.jpg http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a373/BOXRPWR/PICT0004.jpg I know the last pic is not very clear. The ruler is sitting right on 9.0" width tire.

BOXRPWR
look nice but 22 lbs, im glad I ordered SSRS. Cantwait to see them on the car. Yeah, I was hoping they would come in under 20 lbs. But the stock 17" aluminum wheels weigh around 21 lbs, or so I've read. So for 18 x 8.5 wheels at $300 ea., not bad!
powbmps
Nice rims, but those 15" tires are going to be a tight fit.
BOXRPWR
Opps....good catch. Edited to the correct 18" tires! That, or I'll have to use lots of KY jelly!
jsalicru
hahaha, did you read what I posted on your previous thread about the 5zigens? I too was a bit surprised at the heft of the wheels. Nevertheless, I can't wait to see them on the car. Hopefully yours won't take a 8" long row of weights to balance. Make sure they pay attention to the yellow dots on the tires to help the balancing out. "some say, his arms are made of coiled adamantium fibers. And that he tops his cereal with nuts and bolts. jsalicru
that whole wheel/tire setup should fit perfectly fine with nothing else. "some say, his arms are made of coiled adamantium fibers. Xenonk
you could have fitted a 10" wide tire Keefe Keefe
BOXRPWR
I'll stick with the Falkens at only $167 ea shipped!
stifen
So... where are the old rotas..?
BOXRPWR
Nobody has called dibs yet. You get dibs for asking...if you want. Paid over a $1 grand for all four plus the Falkens. The tires only have about 30% tread left. Two wheels have minor scraps. Would probably take $500 for the lot. They are 18x7.5 bronze Rota Tarmac IIs. Running 225/35/18 tires. Suggest getting 225/40/18 for a bit more sidewall on new rubber.

jsalicru
hey Kevin, check your old thread! Two of us asked about your Rota's then Either way, let me know if this other guy doesn't want them because I'll pick them us ASAP from you. "some say, his arms are made of coiled adamantium fibers. Deer Killer
I was thinking about those in 17's, I don't see a logo on there though, right? I really don't want some ricy tuner stamp on my wheels, which is how all the pics online look.
jsalicru
all the logos are stickers so you dont have to use them if you dont want to. "some say, his arms are made of coiled adamantium fibers. Gire
Those look great. Keep the 5Zigen stickers off the spokes for a classier, cleaner look. IMHO.
BOXRPWR
Thanks for the compliment. Absolutely NOT putting those silly stickers on.
jsalicru
Also, try the wheels out without the center cap. The one that comes with the wheel looks really nasty... Let me show you a comparison for reference. Here's my old car without caps... http://homepage.mac.com/jsalicru/.Public/FN01STi.JPG Here's another car with them on. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v471/presserkrolld/DSCN0517.jpg "some say, his arms are made of coiled adamantium fibers.
